Hi Martha. My husband had the same question. I think Dan was referring to picnics we had in the past since the trip description had us taking a break somewhere else. Anyway, I’m packing a lunch and following Dan around. I’m eating wherever he is lol.

Who are the picnic people? Do the picnic people have anything to do with the scheduled paddle? Were we supposed to sign up for a picnic?  Or, are you talking about a private picnic, by invitation only?

For the picnic people launch over at the beach rather than the boat ramp. We"ll park the kayaks in the grass next to the ramp and launch when ready.

1) I am confused.  I just looked at the Amos Gourdine Landing on Google Maps.  I don't see any place to launch other than the boat ramp.  Are some people possibly going to a different launch site at the AG Landing? What am I missing?

2) I wanted to double check my registration for this trip, clicked on "Events and Trip Calendar" and the usual buttons marked "Sign Up" and "Registered participants" are both missing.  They are also missing for the trips on 8/12 &  8/19.

3) I plan to attend the 8/5 paddle.

Thank you John and Alison!  I saw the ramp on Google Maps so I didn't know why Dan was discussing a different location. Alison has filled me in on some history.

Hi Dan.  Kevin and I plan to attend.  It sounds like you are planning on parking in the lot closest to the boat ramp-where the restrooms are located.  Is that correct?  Looking forward to tomorrow!

Tomorrow I plan to launch from the boat ramp. It's a shorter walk to the water.
