P&H Capella 163 for sale
Dan Hoke

P&H Capella 163 for sale. Carbon Fiber 45lb, in excellent condition. Everything works and is in great shape, skeg, hatches, deck lines, bungees, compass and paddle breeches. It's exactly what I wanted except it's too large so it has to go, for what I paid. $1800.00. This really is a good boat, especially at this weight, 45 lbs.

Hi Dan, I love the P&H Capella. I have a beautiful 16.1 that is smaller cockpit. If interested in trade/cash, let me know. It is 2006, but in great condition!

Dan Hoke
I could be. Weight was a big consideration in buying this kayak at 45 lbs. What does yours weigh?

It is 10 lbs heavier than the Kevlar, at 55 lbs.

Then there is the cost difference. Mine like yours is old. 2007 and in great condition. It still is not an even swap for a std glass kayak which is that 1800.00 I was willing spend. Curious, is the 161 too tight for your liking?

It has been my favorite boat for years, but I have found the older I get the less I bend. I thought the 16.3 had a little bigger cockpit, but according to Seals website the 16.3 uses a 1.2 skirt, which is what mine uses; is that right?

Dan Hoke
I use my 1.4 and it fits fine. The deck sits higher making for a roomy fit. If you are interested we can meet up for a paddle and you can try it while I try yours.
