Our Lowcountry Paddler Club Picnic will be held at the James Island County Park Stono Shelter on Sunday, June 8!
We have our own parking lot at the Stono Shelter along with a grill, water, electric, ceiling fans, and volleyball court. If you plan to come, please go to the website, lowcountrypaddlers.net, to register so that we have an accurate count.
We are looking to bring an additional grill. If you have one, please contact Bev: 914-299-0919.
Additionally, we are looking for someone to cook burgers and hotdogs. The club will provide the meat and buns and condiments. Members can bring their favorite side dish and/or dessert.
We will paddle before lunch, launching at the fishing pier at 10:15 AM. We will paddle on the creek about 5 miles round trip. There is a parking lot at the fishing pier, and there is a long walk to the kayak launch at the end of the pier, so bring wheels if you have them. We will target returning to the pier by 11:30 to be ready to get to Stono Shelter to start eating by noon or 12:30.
