Where: Meet at the entrance kiosk at Botany Bay by 9 and sign in. Put Botany Bay Heritage Preserve, Edisto Island in your mapping app).
Logistics: Low tide is about 11:30 on the Edisto. We’ll meet at the “information kiosk” and sign in and then drive to the boat launch.

Note: 1: NO trailers are allowed at Botany Bay. If you want to go and have no other means of transporting your kayak, contact the trip leader who can work to find a vehicle to transport your boat. You can meet in the parking lot of the Food Lion in Ravenel, which is on the left, immediately after the only traffic light in Ravenel. (Put Food Lion, Ravenel in your mapping app. Ralph Earhart has left vehicles in this parking lot for years.).
Note 2: We’ll drive as a group from the kiosk to just past sign #8, where we will see another sign for “boat launch”, which is the turn off to the kayak launch.
Note 3: We’ll spend about an hour on the beach and then paddle back. Paddle back leg is shorter than leg going out.
