Christmas Party! Christmas Party! Christmas Party!
Author Last Post

Hi All,

Are you ready for the LCP Christmas Party tonight, Hope so. I was just talking to Michelle and she reminded me of an important item. The party tonight is happening in her apartments main office. This space douhebles at the complex as office workspace for residents. We have a good tendency of showing up early for club events. For tonight, please don't, unless you're bringing the ham. Not too early though. We don't need to be rude and boot out someone before t space closes. To quote Michelle, "show up at 5:59 tonight".

You might want to bring a chair tonight also. With this great weather we can spread out onto the rear wooden deck if it gets too crowded. We should stay clear of the pool though as they do not allow glass containers on the cement.

Thanks and see you there.

Dan

Nancy, I plan on attending the Christmas Party.  Do you still need a ham?
Susan

Greetings all club members!

Did I mention the Christmas Party? Hopefully you have all saved the date of December 9th for our annual Low Country Paddlers Christmas Party, but now is the time to get into the details and get ready to party! This info may seem like old news to some, but we do have some great new members that we need to help to get up to party speed.

*Who: All members and guests. The website is enabled for party registrations, and we strongly encourage you to register so we can plan accurately.

*When: December 9, 2023, 6:00 to 10:00 pm, with set up to start no earlier than 5:30.

*Where: Avana Long Point Apartments Main Office/Center

100 Eighty Oak Drive

Mt Pleasant, SC  29464

*How: How does this all come together?

*First we need a small group of people to be willing to bring ham or turkey ready to serve. The club will pay for it, we just need it there and ready. Usually this is a spiral cut ham or a turkey breast. (Please let me know if you can do this.)

*Everyone brings a side dish or desert to share. The club provides the meat, rolls and butter, plates and silverware and other miscellaneous items.

*This is a BYOB, or what ever you'd like to drink, party. If you are a water drinker, there is a water dispenser, just please bring your own cup.

*Dress is Christmas Party casual.

*There will be a very competitive Ugly Sweater contest with a highly coveted prize that we'll pick up along the road somewhere.

*There will be the highly anticipated Gift Exchange! If you would like to participate please bring a wrapped gift in the $15-$20 range for each person participating. The web site mentions this as a white elephant gift exchange, but it really is a little classier than that. Stay within the price range, but please don't bring anything you wouldn't want to take back home with you! (With some unmentionable exceptions!)

*There will be a exciting raffle for some great items donated by local merchants and club members! The proceeds from the raffle go towards our training fund, so dig under your mattresses and bring all the green you can! If you have some nice stuff you'd like to donate to the raffle, please let Bev know.

*We would appreciate any large folding tables or folding chairs you could bring for the evening. Lets us know if you can bring some even if it is just a couple chairs.

*The venue will already be decorated in a festive Christmas theme, but if you have something you'd really like to bring, please feel welcome to.

*There will be the exciting opportunity to pay your 2024 club dues at the party.

*There will be laptop computers available so members can sign their 2024 Smart Waivers for our ACA insurance compliance. This will require that your ACA dues are current, so please take care of that beforehand.

*I hope this covers all of the details. I look forward to seeing everyone at the party. Please let me know if you have questions or can help out with the meat or tables.

Thanks! Let's Party!

Nancy
