Can I bring wife to meet all the people I Kayack with.  It’s my second year started at Christmas.  So excited
Karl Naugle.

Thanks Dan . Sorry we can’t make it.

Tonight is the night for the clubs Oyster Roast. Even if you forget to RSVP you're welcome to come. Talking to Jimmy yesterday he plans on bring 6 bushels of oysters, which is way more than enough. They are usually Folly River oysters and knowing Jimmy, I expect he'll have the first batch on the table shortly after 6.

We'll be busy today making final preparations, moving things around in the garage, getting tables placed and covered, running power for the chili's and wood for the fire pits. I plan to fire up the pits by 5 today and have a beer in hand by 6. To help you find the place the kayak trailer will be placed in the front yard for all to see so come on out for a good evening.

See you tonight

Dan

So sorry to miss this again!  We’re having one of our annual fundraisers for the shelter here on the island…

This is the week. LCP Oyster Roast Saturday evening, 6-9ish.. The weather is looking about as good as it can be. Not to hot nor too cold. For those have recently joined us this year, this is one of our 3 large group events of the year and certainly the most expensive to put on. That is why there is a cost to you. We have a large enclosed, lit up back yard with room for everyone. Bring your chair for sitting around the fire pits, a side to share and a cooler with your favorite beverage. We will have sodas and water if needed along with dogs off the grill. If you have a chili recipe you'd like to show off, stir up a batch in your crock pot and bring it. There will be a table devoted to it along with a power supply. There will be a prize for the everyone's favorite. I just hope I have time to taste them myself this year.

Speaking of cost it's $20.00 if you eat oysters, $10.00 if not. I cover the cost for the oysters and cook (Jimmy), so if you write a check make it out to Dan Hoke. Speaking of Jimmy, he won't be heavily limping this year as he had his leg lengthened early winter.

The address is: 329 Molasses Ln, Mt Pleasant. (green colonial) My phone is 843-329-3141. We're at the lower end of Mt Pleasant, so if you drive down from up the peninsula cross the Ravenel bridge and turn left at the 2nd light onto Mathis Ferry Rd. There is plenty of parking on the street. Just pull completely off the road onto the shoulder.

See you Saturday, call if you have any questions

Dan

Martha,

Good luck with your recovery.  It took me several months to get back in shape after my surgery.

I'm afraid that I won't be joining in on the fun. Rotator cuff surgery last week. It's going to be months before I see any of you on the water.

The club Oyster Roast is a week from today. This is one of our biggest and tastiest events of the year. Check out the description on the calendar and rsvp on the calendar. We'll see you there.

Dan

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking I had something out there on this, but don't see it. Mark your calendars please for the evening of Feb 24, Saturday for the Oyster Roast. 6-9ish. It will be held again at our place in Mt Pleasant. Everything will be as usual including Jimmy cooking up the Oysters. For newbies out there, you'll bring a side dish to share, a chair and about $20.00 a head, 10.00 if you don't eat oysters. I believe my cost will be the same. (I just want to break even) We'll provide a pleasant outdoor environment under lights, with a couple fire pits, Dogs off the grill. A chilly cook-off and oysters for all that are eating them. We usually get around 40 out for for the evening and have lots of pleasant conversation. More info will come out as the date approaches.

See you then

Dan Hoke
