I went out and scouted next Saturday's (July7) low tide Penny Creek trip this week.  The creek was spectacular and the sandbars on the Edisto were magnificent.  Total trip is 6.2 miles.  The tide takes us down, we'll take a nice swim break on 2 different sandbars and then the tide will take us back. There is 1 tree we need to maneuver through, but I took a 71 year old  novice paddler  and she had no problem getting past the tree.  It will add a little excitement.

This is a great trip for people who want a short paddle with an opportunity to take a nice break and cool down.

Details are below. Plan to be back about 1:30ish.  Launch time is critical.

(This is a completely different from a Penny Creek high tide paddle where we go through the rice field canal).

Put the GPS address in your smart phone (or check my guidebook). Call if you get lost.
