I’m planning to attend. (:

Lucy Cummings
Here is the trip for Saturday:

Logistics: Paddle will be on Penny Creek to Edisto River Rice Fields and behind Prospect Hill and Oakhurst Islands to Willtown Bluff.  Low tide at Willtown is 2:45 pm.  Meet at the Penny Creek boat landing, (.3 miles past 9114 Penny Creek Landing Rd., Adams Run), and be prepared to shuttle by 9:30 am.

Approximate Total Trip Length: 8.5 miles

Trip Leader: Ralph Earhart

The weather for Saturday looks GREAT!

Please note that you need to have your boat unloaded and ready to launch by 9:30. We'll shuttle as many cars as possible down to Willtown Bluff and then come back and launch immediately.

The Edisto is "just" above flood stage today, but it should be below flood state on Saturday.  We'll be going with both the tide and the current and I expect we can do the trip in less than 2 1/2 hours.  If we go as fast as I anticipate, I do not plan to stop unless folks have the need to stop as we leave Penny Creek.

I'm paddling my Pungo.

It is "winter", so remember, our motto is: "nothing but nylon and cotton is rotten". Bring water, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.

I encourage you to register for the trip on the club's web page.  You will need your ACA number to do that.  If you'd rather e mail me that you are coming, that is fine, but I really need for you to send me your ACA number or bring it to the boat landing. We are required to report all attendees to the ACA and we don't want to make the Treasurer look up ACA numbers.

Looking forward to it!
