There are many options when leaving from this put in depending on weather (wind and tide), kayaker skill level and adventure level of those present. To avoid paddling against incoming current, suggest going up intercostal waterway to IOP connector bridge and then determine to go on to IOP marina for lunch or paddle out going current to new IOP kayak put in, beach inlet, and or front beach of Sullivans Island. Another choice is to paddle against slack incoming current to new IOP kayak put in and then back to Sullivans Island beach inlet or front beach depending on weather. This is such a great friendly group of paddlers that we just enjoy being together and being on the water. Final destination to be determined by the adventure spirit of those present. All trips require wearing PFD, have whistle, bring water, snack, and recommend 14 ft kayak or longer and bring a smile. Suggestions or questions contact Michael Condon, email@example.com or phone 843-800-5114.
