If anyone still has their boats on their cars, as I do, I will be at the Goose Creek reservoir at 9:15 ready to paddle if anyone still wants to exercise today
It has been pointed out that the Edisto River will reach flood stage on Saturday (10 feet). We scouted the Combahee River on 8 January when the water level in the Edisto was above 9 feet. The beginning of the Combahee River trip at that time was flowing rapidly for the first mile or so past some downed trees. No one had a problem going through.
However, because there is flooding on a sister river, I am changing the trip level for this trip to an L3.
If you are the least bit concerned about your safety, please let me know and do not come.
Several of us crossed over the Edisto River down by Penny Creek this morning and we managed fine.
I have pasted in the Edisto water level for the past several days and also a chart predicting its increase. Use this to help you make your decision.
If enough people tell em they are dropping out, I will cancel.
